Keen to develop an initiative that achieves tangible results and to promote the innovation and know-how of international industry players, the Monaco Sustainable & Smart Marina Rendezvous 2022 will take place over two days, on 25th and 26th September, with the aim to highlight the sustainable undertakings of the startups, marinas and architects.

CEO of Monaco Marina Management
"We have been working on the virtuous marina concept for several years now. It is the deep conviction of all our employees that has enabled us to develop an expertise in this field, particularly regards water management. As living spaces, Smart Marinas that respect the environment must encourage emergence of new activities and services like Smart Cities do from which they take inspiration."
Emilia Clarke
Frédéric Genta

"The yachting industry is a vital economic force for Monaco, and a factor of attractiveness. In today’s world, the evolution of the sector is a priority for the country, with digital technology as the main asset. In four years, Monaco has built solid infrastructures to reinforce the new yachting generation in particular. Innovation in Smart Yachting must play a central role in our development and modernization while respecting the environment."

Bernard d’Alessandri
General Secretary, Yacht Club de Monaco
“Monaco has always been one of the top locations for yachting. The Monaco Smart & Sustainable Marina is part of the Monaco, Capital of Advanced Yachting approach. We have a responsibility to encourage all initiatives towards a more eco-responsible yachting sector - for our planet, for the oceans and for future generations. A marina is one of the key elements of the yachting chain, a living space to welcome yachts, owners and their crews, a micro-city that interacts with the onshore and at sea environments and is looking to the future.”
Emilia Clarke
Olivier Wenden

“The major issues relating to marine environment conservation have now been clearly identified. Supporting implementation of new sustainable solutions for a more virtuous yachting sector is all the more essential if we are to continue enjoying the pleasures of the sea, while responding in the right way to the challenges of its preservation.”
Céline Caron-Dagioni
Monaco’sMinister of Public Works, the Environment and Urban Development
‘‘Building an eco-responsible yachting sector can only be considered in concert with all partners, and Monaco must be an example: we must all be on board with this theme to meet our commitments to reduce greenhouse gases. In Monaco, this is to be under 55% by 2030 and carbon neutral by 2050."
Sheikh Rasheed Al Rushaid
Chairman & CEO, Al-Rushaid Group
‘‘Innovation, ingenuity and collaboration are absolutely crucial as our world transitions rapidly to become fully sustainable. To succeed, however, we need not only smart ideas, but also smart execution that makes the complex happen at scale. That’s why Al-Rushaid Group is supporting Monaco Sustainable and Smart Marina. I’m looking forward to great networking and discovering new technologies in Monaco!’’.

As part of the Monaco Smart & Sustainable Marina, we put innovation at the service of developing virtuous marinas with low carbon impact generating new economic values. The pioneering aspect explains why startups are so keen to jump on board, offering innovative solutions in a range of fields ranging from water, energy and waste management to mobility, security, construction, port equipment and infrastructure, and of course protection and regeneration of biodiversity."
