To create a low-carbon island, the Zhoushanproject applies LEED/WELL energy-saving building standards and adopts new materials and technologies. They include eco-friendly and energysaving materials, high-efficiency plant rooms and insulated air conditioning ducts to reduce the building’s energy consumption. Meanwhile, the project introduces a wind power system, water treatment system, seawater desalination/purification systems and rainwater collection systems to achieve green, recyclable water and electricity. On the island, transport will be by electric vehicles.
